Emory University is launching a national search for the next university librarian and associate vice provost. A search advisory team that includes students, faculty, and staff has been appointed to lead the process of identifying a leader to oversee the university libraries, which include:
- Robert W. Woodruff Library
- Stuart A. Rose Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library
- Woodruff Health Sciences Center Library
- Goizueta Business Library
- Marian K. Heilbrun Music and Media Library
Valeda Dent, vice provost for the libraries, museum, and the Center for Digital Scholarship, will serve as chair. Emory has retained the executive search firm WittKieffer to support the process. The firm has extensive experience identifying highly qualified, innovative leaders in academic libraries and information services. The advisory team will work with the search firm to support the search process and guide engagement with stakeholders.
