Guidance on Digital Resources
The Emory Libraries have many digital materials available for you, and we provide both guidance on connecting from off-campus and instructions on browser plugins available to the Emory community that simplify the identification of Emory digital resources.
discoverE
Visit our discoverE working remotely page for hints and tips on finding online materials. Also, please see our comprehensive guide on finding, accessing, and downloading e-books.
Collection Resources for Remote Teaching and Learning
Our guide on collection resources provides information on accessing and requesting needed content for successful completion of research projects and teaching assignments. This guide is being frequently updated as we work with vendors, library partners and fine-tune internal workflows.
Databases @ Emory
Emory Libraries licenses over 1,000 databases to support teaching and research. Use Databases@Emory to search for a relevant database by title, subject or database type. Many of our databases contain full-text journal content (in particular, our EBSCO databases), and/or contain a FindIt@Emory icon that links to our full-text content.
eJournals
eJournals A-Z is a list of all electronic journals licensed by Emory Libraries. To access the full content of many of our subscribed and licensed journals, you will need to authenticate as an Emory user. Either go through the A-Z page, or use the proxy bookmarklet to reload the webpage.
EmoryFindingAids
Search the EmoryFindingAids database to access detailed descriptions of archival and manuscript collections held in various repositories at Emory. EmoryFindingAids are available for both processed and unprocessed collections. You can also email an archivist by writing to rose.library@emory.edu.
Streaming Video
For remote teaching and learning, we recommend using streaming video in lieu of physical media such as DVDs whenever feasible. Most streaming video content licensed by the Emory Libraries is searchable in discoverE. Subject librarians can assist with acquiring videos not currently in our collection, or you can use the Emory Libraries streaming video purchase request form.
The Emory Libraries subscribe to numerous academic streaming video collections, and we license individual streaming video titles to support teaching and research. Learn more at Films and Video.
Streaming Audio
Emory subscribes to two large music streaming providers, each with several databases: Naxos and Alexander Street Press. See the options under ‘Where to Stream’ on our Music and Scores page.
Streaming Media Purchasing
Subject librarians can assist with acquiring electronic books and streaming video and audio not currently in our collections.
