Professional Profile

Lyndon Batiste is an accomplished library and information professional with over 15 years of leadership experience across both public and academic library settings. He currently serves as the Head of User Services for Emory University Libraries and Museum, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping user-centered service strategies and leading cross-functional teams.

Lyndon’s leadership development has been supported by participation in several prestigious programs. He was selected for the American Library Association’s Emerging Leaders Program and the Harvard Leadership Institute for Academic Librarians—both of which reflect his potential as a transformative leader in the field.

An alumnus of Morehouse College, Lyndon holds a Master of Arts in Religious Studies from Beulah Heights University and a Master of Library and Information Studies from the University of Alabama, where he focused on social justice and inclusivity. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Social Justice and Inclusion through the College of Communication and Information Sciences at the University of Alabama, where he is a McNair Graduate Fellow.
