Helpful Tips
Virtual Browsing: In lieu of in-person browsing, try our virtual browsing feature in Library Search. Search for an item, open the record and click on Browse Virtual Shelf to see materials surrounding the item on the shelf.
Requesting materials: All available items are requestable through Library Search. Once placing your request, you will be emailed pickup options and instructions.
E-books: In many cases, we have e-book access through a variety of vendors as well as the Internet Archive Open Library. If we don’t have what you are looking for, please make a request using our purchase request form. See our e-book guide for the latest updates to our online collection.
Interlibrary Loan: If the item you need is loaned or in a closed collection, place a request through ILLiad, and your Interlibrary Loan department will seek out e-books, PDFs, and physical books from non-Emory libraries.
Course Reserves: Physical reserves materials are available at your library service desk. Students can access their course materials in Canvas by clicking on Library Course Reserves link in their course. Instructors can place requests for items not owned by Emory Libraries through our purchase request forms.
Equipment and media: audio/visual equipment, laptops, and media are available for loan to current Emory faculty, staff, and students.
