Robert W. Woodruff Library

The Robert W. Woodruff Library brings together technology specialists and librarians in one facility to provide a range of services, such as collections, study space, research help, etc., to support the academic mission of Emory University.

Fall 2020

The Robert W. Woodruff Library is accessible to Emory faculty and graduate students by appointment. Undergraduate appointments will be available starting August 19. 

Starting fall semester, physical items held by the Emory Libraries will be available for loan to current faculty, staff, and students through discoverE. Patrons will be notified when items are available and how to retrieve their requests.

The Music and Media Library location is closed for the fall semester, but equipment and media are available by request.

Library Service Desk

As the central service point for the Woodruff Library, the Library Service Desk is your one-stop shop for inquiries about borrowing materials, electronic resource access, printing, research help, or directional inquiries.

We are located on Level 2 of the Woodruff Library Building, immediately past the Business Library and across from our printer station.

Computing and Technology

  • EaglePrint (Levels 1, 2, 3, 4)
    Emory's enterprise printing/copying/scanning service for both the main and Oxford campuses.

  • Learning Commons (throughout Woodruff Library)
    Learning Commons combines technological resources and support services in an accessible, welcoming environment. Our offerings include library computer workstations, multiple printing stations, group study rooms, loaner tech, and more.

  • MediaLab (Level 4 Lobby Wing)
    MediaLab provides resources and technology for graphic design, video, audio, and image editing, web development, and 3D modeling.

  • Music and Media Library Equipment Collections (Level 4 Lobby Wing)
    The Music and Media Library offers a pool of audio visual equipment readily available for the Emory community.

  • Production Studios (Level 1) 
    Student Production Studio, Music & Audio Recording Studio, and One Button Studio

  • Student Technology Support (Level 1)
    A free service for Emory students providing technical support and assistance for a variety of issues on student-owned devices. 

Faculty and Instructor Technology

  • Center for Faculty Development and Excellence (Level 2): 
    The CFDE supports faculty in the areas of teaching, research, and professional development. 

  • Classroom Technologies (Level 2)
    Innovative room and space management tools, classroom technology solutions and audiovisual services supporting the primary teaching, learning, research, and service missions of the University.

  • Emory Center for Digital Scholarship (Level 3) 
    ECDS works with Emory University faculty, students, and staff to provide expertise, consultation, and technical assistance in the creation of digital projects and publications.

  • Teaching and Learning Technologies (Level 2) 
    TLT is dedicated to helping Emory University faculty create rich educational experiences for our student body. We support a number of services, including Canvas, Coursera, LinkedIn Learning, and more.
