Vision and Guiding Principles
- Cultivate a staff and the resources necessary to enact our vision and the clarity of purpose to prioritize our work in a way that promotes a thriving, supportive, and engaging workplace.
- Steward cultural heritage resources by contributing to sustainable, shared and distributed models and partnerships as well as the acquisition of resources that document Emory University institutional history and are aligned with Emory University and Emory Libraries mission, curricular and collection strengths.
- Make our resources: staff, collections, and services -- more accessible to local and remote audiences, actively removing barriers for users.
- Engage in reciprocal relationships for mutual benefit with users and community partners.
- Strengthen identity as a community-focused library that is trusted to ethically and responsibly collect and steward resources of value to those we serve and to provide spaces that are welcoming and reflect our commitment to become a community partner.
