Obtain Materials Held by Emory University Libraries
The Robert W. Woodruff Library Interlibray Loan (ILL) department (OCLC: EMU) provides interlibrary lending services for the following collections:

The interlibrary lending policies and procedures of the Woodruff Main and Health Sciences Center Libraries are in accordance with the ALA Interlibrary Loan Code for the United States and IFLA's International Lending and Document Delivery: Principles and Guidelines for Procedure.

We accept requests for the Woodruff Main and Health Sciences Center Libraries via OCLC (EMU and EMM, respectively) and via our ILLiad lending web request form. We also accept Docline requests for Health Sciences (GAEMU). Please contact us at email@example.com for lending web instructions and registration.
Please be sure to indicate copyright compliance for photocopies and that you are willing to pay any applicable fees (see below).
Charges & Fees
Billing Method = IFM or Invoice
US Non-Profit: $20 loan / $15 article
International Non-Profit (including Canada): $40 loan / $15 article
For-Profit: $40 loan / $30 article
SHARES: $10 loan / FREE article
SHARES International: $30 loan / FREE article
We strongly prefer payment by OCLC IFM or Docline EFTS. However, we also accept checks in US dollars, IFLA vouchers, money orders, and international postal coupons. We cannot accept payment by credit card at this time.
Note: We do not charge libraries that are members of ARCHE, GOLD, ASERL Reciprocal Borrowing or libraries with whom we have a written reciprocal agreement if requests are submitted via OCLC. Libraries that are members of the OCLC Research Library Partnership's SHARES program are charged according to the current SHARES fee structure.

Recall notices are sent via email and OCLC, if applicable. Recalled items should be returned ASAP via Priority Mail, UPS, FedEx, Air Mail, etc., and not by media or surface mail.
Current periodicals, reference, audiovisual, maps/atlases and special collections (Rose Library)** material.
*Loans of such items are considered on a case-by-case basis for members of ARCHE, ASERL, GOLD & RLP SHARES and libraries with whom we have a written reciprocal agreement. All US academic libraries may request A/V and Reference, regardless of affiliation.
**Loans will be restricted to "Library Use Only," 4 week loan (no renewals), and return via courier.

Most Emory PhD dissertations and Masters theses prior to 2009 are available for loan. Most Emory PhD dissertations are also available from ProQuest (either via their Dissertations and Theses Full-text database or via purchase). Many of Emory's dissertations from 2009 to date are available electronically with no fee at etd.library.emory.edu.
4 reel limit. Once 4 reels have been returned, another 4 reels may be requested. It is up to the borrowing library to keep track of which reels have already been requested. We can usually send complete microfiche sets in response to one request. We also will lend microcard or microprint if requested.
4 volume limit. Once 4 volumes have been returned, another 4 volumes may be requested. It is up to the borrowing library to keep track of which volumes have already been requested.
Any use restrictions will be clearly indicated on a paper band which is placed around loaned material. Please return all materials with the band in place.
Please do not affix any type of adhesive labels to our material (including "removable" labels).
Exceptional items, such as bound periodical volumes, audiovisual, reference, microforms, and special collections material, will be restricted to "Library Use Only" and may have further use restrictions, as appropriate to the item.
We ship via FedEx to destinations in the US & US territories, and via USPS Air Mail to other destinations.
Our material should be returned in a box. Please do not use shipping bags as material can be easily damaged. Exceptional items should be packaged with special care. Exceptional and recalled items should be returned via Priority or Air Mail, UPS, FedEx, or other expedited means.
Odyssey is the primary delivery method for copies but we also deliver copies via OCLC Article Exchange or e-mail attachment as requested.
We provide copies from microfilm and microfiche at no additional charge. We currently cannot copy from microcard or microprint, but we do lend these formats.
