Saira Raza joined Emory in May of 2015. Prior to that, her work experience includes being a corporate librarian for King & Spaulding and Lehman Brothers, a researcher and business plan writer for various small businesses, and a small business owner. Saira received her M.L.S. from University of North Texas, an M.P.S. in Africana Studies from Cornell University, and her undergraduate degree in International Studies from Wells College. As a graduate library student, she was selected to participate in the American Library Association’s Spectrum Scholarship Program and the Association of Research Libraries Initiative to Recruit a Diverse Workforce Program. She was also a George A. Strait Minority Scholar, courtesy of the American Association of Law Libraries.
Saira is originally from Upstate New York and is an active musician and artist, performing and showing work regularly in Atlanta.
