Professional Profile

Kim Collins leads the Research, Engagement, and Scholarly Communications division, which includes Collection Management, Research and Engagement (three teams of subject librarians for Humanities, International Area Studies, and Sciences and Social Sciences), Instruction and Engagement, Assessment and User Experience, and Scholarly Communications. 

Kim Collins also supports the library needs of the art history and classics departments, as well as the curators of the Michael C. Carlos Museum.  Before joining Emory’s Robert W. Woodruff Library in 2000, she worked in the museum field (NGA, DC and the High Museum of Art).  

Kim is an active member of the Art Libraries Society of North America (ARLIS/NA).

Current interests revolve around engagement.  How can subject librarians design collaborative services that meet the evolving needs of researchers and scholars? How can libraries better support scholarship, publishing and learning? How can subject librarians partner with teams across the library (e.g. Rose, ECDS, SCO, TLT, and LibTech) and across the campus to advance student and faculty success?
