This event acquaints students with the languages and cuisines of the Middle East and South Asia. Students are invited to sample delicacies from a range of cuisines and participate in the creation of a polyglot culinary dictionary. In the process, they will explore how tastes, foods, and words move across cultures and communities and be introduced to a selection of dictionaries and cookbooks related to the Middle East and South Asia.
This event is organized by the Librarians for the Middle East and Islamic Studies, South Asia, and Jewish Studies in coordination with the instructors of Arabic, Hebrew, Hindi, and Persian.
