Scholarly Communications
The Emory Libraries Scholarly Communications Office serves Emory faculty, students, and staff. Located in the Robert W. Woodruff Library, the office assists with author agreements and book contracts, copyright questions, electronic theses and dissertations support, open access publication, and permissions.
How We Can Help
We offer a variety of services for Emory faculty, staff, and students; coordinate and support two open access repositories; and offer funding to make Emory authors’ research available in eligible open access venues.
Copyright
We can help you navigate the maze of copyright law.
Open Access and Publishing
We manage Emory's Open Access repositories and initiatives.
Open Educational Practices
Let us help you find the right open educational resources (OER) and use them for your classes.
Apply for Funding
Emory University's Open Access Publishing Fund provides funds to make it easier for Emory authors to publish in open access (OA) journals and books when no alternative funding is available.
Investments in External Open Access and DEI Initiatives
Emory Libraries have long invested in external organizations’ efforts to create a more equitable and open scholarly publishing system, and lately that funding has expanded greatly.
